From bicycle loss to relief: Forgiving Stockholm -- A big superise at the end of 2025(Chinese calendar)

I was very sad when I lost my bicycle on 2024 Black-Friday. At the end of the 2024(Chinese calendar), I received good news from insurance company that they decided to pay reimbursement for bicycle with accessories to the amount of SEK 15347.

19:36 Nov 29th, 2024 -- Bicycle lost.
23:56 Nov 29th, 2024 -- Report case to police office.
09:01 Dec 9th, 2024 -- Ask Åsa for how to get signature from university.
20:37 Dec 9th, 2024 -- Send email to Åsa again due to no response back.
08:57 Dec 10th, 2024 -- Receive email from Åsa that she need to check with a colleague.
11:11 Dec 11st, 2024 -- Receive email from Åsa which told me the procedure of claim.
15:54 Dec 11st, 2024 -- Send Request for FAS Plus Insurance Compensation to Maria.
20:43 Dec 12nd, 2024 -- Send email to Maria again due to no response back.
11:11 Dec 13rd, 2024 -- Receive email from Maria that she send the claim and related materials to Kammarkollegiet, the insurance company.
20:26 Jan 7th, 2025 -- Send email to Maria for follow up.
20:26 Jan 7th, 2025 -- Receive automatically reply email from Maria from which I know she is on holiday and will be back at the office January 13th.
09:48 Jan 14th, 2025 -- Send email to Maria again for follow up due to no response.
14:44 Jan 16th, 2025 -- Send email to Maria again for follow up due to no response.
14:46 Jan 16th, 2025 -- Receive email from Maria that apparently the waiting period is 6-8 weeks at the moment due to heavy workload.
11:36 Jan 22nd, 2025 -- Receive compensation decision from Kammarkollegiet.
20:15 Jan 27th, 2025 -- Receive compensation from Kammarkollegiet into my bank account.

At first I just thought Kammarkollegiet would act like medical insurance companies in United States which reject claims as possible as they can in order to save money for themselves. But Kammarkollegiet settle the claim readily and willingly, from which I got compensation covering all my loss except a deductible of SEK 1,500 per case. Two positive aspects are that I kept all the receipts I received and included all my lost property in the claim form. However, I misunderstood the deductible policy, thinking it meant I wouldn’t receive compensation for items valued below 1,500 SEK each. In reality, the deductible is applied to the total value, reducing it by 1,500 SEK. In the future, I will choose Kammarkollegiet if I need to buy insurance cause they are reliable. Now I forgive Stockholm and decide to work and live here cause this city has not only darkness but also kindness and warmth.
